Mom installs 98-inch screen in son’s bedroom ceiling
Wow.
Mom decides that playing video games while sitting down just isn’t good enough. Her child deserves better.
So she takes the next logical step, installing a smokin’ awesome TV screen into the ceiling, right above the bed.
I’ll be the first to admit that this is the answer to many of my childhood dreams. But I’m glad my parents never spent this much money on me (rumor has it they had to reinforce the ceiling to make it happen) to try to make me happy. I probably would have never gotten out of bed.

wow. I only got to play video games at friends houses… but on the bright side, it’s probably cheaper to buy a giant tv screen than to pay for college, so it’s kind of like an investment.
Christa! What a horribly accurate thing to say! Lol.
Personally, I would kind of like to do that now… a TV in the ceiling of your bedroom, how cool would that be?!?
On another note, this mom is trying to buy the love of her child and is setting him up to largely fail at life. She should donate that TV to me as penance. :-)
I’d go with the hd projector myself.
Being a parent is hard–and I don’t know that yet from experience, just by what I’m told. But what I do know is that I’ve seen way too many teens that have plenty of “stuff” that their parents gave them, but still barely know their parents. And that hurts them.
I don’t know this mom and why she did this. I’m grateful that the family obviously has money that they can use to bless their kids. However my encouragement and prayer is that they would also make the sacrifices it takes to build strong relationships with their kids so they can be there to support and encourage them along the way.
